gouguenheim estaciones malbec
Seventy kilometers from the city of Mendoza, in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, lays one of the best kept secrets in the Uco Valley, the Gouguenheim Winery. Several geographical and climate elements define our unique terroir. In a region that has a desert climate, water from the snow of the Andes Mountains is carried by irrigation channels, through the alluvial, sandy soils. There is also a vast temperature difference between day and night (16 º C).
Gouguenheim wines develop great colors, aromas and flavours, with round tannins. The grapes come from our 98 acres vineyard, located in the Uco Valley, which is over 3.600 feet above sea level. This region has a desert climate with 320 days of sun exposure a year and big temperature amplitude between day and night that reaches 30°F in summer. These exceptional conditions allow a perfect ripening of the grapes.
