dom ponsot corton cuvee bordon
|Subregion||Côte de Nuits|
Tasted blind at the annual ""Burgfest"" tasting in Beaune. The Corton Grand Cru Cuvee de Bourdon from Laurent Ponsot has a fragrant bouquet with wilted rose petals infusing the slightly rustic yet still appealing red berry fruit. The palate is a little oaky but it feel nicely integrated with the fruit. There is a gentle grip in the mouth, a healthy dash of white pepper and a sense of symmetry towards the finish that indicates a well made Corton that may warrant a higher score with continued bottle age.
