Description

A beautiful wine, with dark fig, warm boysenberry reduction and alluring creamed raspberry flavors streaming forth, accented by graphite, black tea and pastis. There's a healthy dose of singed apple wood through the finish, but it's well-embedded as everything pulls together. Best from through 2040.

Made from two-thirds Grenache and the rest a mix of other permitted varieties, the Chateauneuf du Pape features an attractively floral and forward nose, medium body and silky tannins. It's not particularly rich or concentrated but offers a degree of spicy elegance on the finish.
